Azerbaijan-U.S. Bilateral Grants Program II

 

The Azerbaijan National Science Foundation (ANSF), the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), and the U.S. Civilian Research & Development Foundation (CRDF) jointly announce the 2007 Azerbaijan-U.S. Bilateral Grants Program (BGP-II). The program provides up to 2 years of support to research teams of Azerbaijani and U.S. scientists and engineers in 1) biological/biomedical sciences, 2) mathematics/information technology, 3) geology, 4) chemistry, 5) physics, and 6) electrical/materials/manufacturing sciences.

 The overall goal of the program is to increase cooperation between the science and engineering communities of Azerbaijan and the United States. Grants under the BGP-II program will be awarded via a merit-based, internationally peer reviewed competition under the terms of this program announcement.

 Summary of Important Features of the Program

The Azerbaijan National Science Foundation (ANSF) and the U.S. Civilian Research & Development Foundation for the Independent States of the Former Soviet Union (CRDF) announce an Azerbaijan-U.S. Bilateral Grants Program.  This merit-based competition allows joint teams of Azerbaijan and U.S. scientists and engineers to apply for grants to support civilian research and development in all areas of basic and applied sciences.
